NCCS Lady Monarchs opened their season by winning their opening game of the Immaculata Academy Invitational Tournament. Caitlyn Cybart led the way with 13 points and dominated the boards. Hannah Cybart chipped in with seven points and Hannah Gullo ran the point and added four points. Katie Price was the defensive standout, as she limited Ss. Peter & Paul's outstanding guard Katie Villani to four points.

NCCS 29, St. Mary's 8

In the second round of play, Kiara Boyd's aggressive play and 10 points paced the Monarchs. Dominique Valvo was the defensive standout, as she stole many passes and converted them into nine points.

For St. Mary's, Naomi Sciarro scored four points in the paint.

NCCS 26

The defending Diocesean champs throttled the Monarchs in the finals. Dane Orie and DD Hore led the way with nine points each.

For the Monarchs, Caitlyn Cybart (13 points) and Katie Price (nine points) kept the game close.

Allison Cortes (four points) and Kiara Boyd played great defense and controlled the boards.

Even on the losing end, Caitlyn Cybart was chosen as the Tournament MVP with her tough inside play.
