Northern Chautauqua Club Association

The Northern Chautauqua Club Association recently held their regular monthly meeting at the Veterans of World War II club rooms in Dunkirk.

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Vice President Patrick Begier, who presided, followed by a moment of silence for deceased club members.

Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting were read by Secretary Janet Rozen, and a financial report was given by Treasurer Janis Dibb. Motions were made and seconded to approve.

A welcome speech was given by Richard Jakubczyk, club president. Guests included former mayors Charles St. George and Richard Frey.

Old and new business was discussed, including the numerous upcoming events to be held at the member clubs.

The J. Carter Knapp Post of Forestville proudly announced that it will host their first association meeting in April, and the Lake Shore Marine League is expressing interest in rejoining the group.

A donation was made toward the Dunkirk Moose spring raffle.

The next meeting will be held Sunday at the Kosciuszko Polish Home, 252 Nevins St., Dunkirk, at 10:30 a.m. All club members are welcome to attend.
