Share Thanksgiving dinner Sunday with community members
SHERIDAN - All are welcome to a Community Thanksgiving Pot-luck Dinner and Service on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the St. John Bosco Auditorium on Route 20 in Sheridan. Shepherds' Fellowship (the Forestville, Sheridan, Silver Creek ministerial association) is sponsoring this event, bringing together members of the community to give thanks. All attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service. Turkey and beverage will be provided. An ecumenical service of thanksgiving will follow the meal. Everyone is invited. Church plans special service
Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St., Fredonia, will host an Advent Lessons and Anthem Service on Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. The church choir will present works by Palestrina, Praetorius, Herbert Howells, Paul Manz, Philip Stopford and Robert Shaw. A new work, "Ne Timaeus, Marie," written and composed by Sean Doyle, will be performed. The choirmaster is Kristen Bowman and organist, Barbara Burmaster.
The community is welcome to attend and make this a part of their preparation for Christmas.
