A grand opening celebration was held Friday morning at the new north county Department of Motor Vehicles office at 3988 Vineyard Dr. in Dunkirk.
Among the local and county officials present, County Clerk Sandra Sopak said, "The new office provides our customers with easy access to our services and a layout that allows our staff to work more efficiently," and added, "The reduction in the cost for the space also allows the taxpayers of Chautauqua County to benefit from the local services without spending more of their hard-earned money."
County Executive Greg Edwards was present for the ribbon cutting, and said, "The successful move and the retention of this important service in the Dunkirk area are the direct results of the teamwork of county leaders."
