Dunkirk-Fredonia wins three games in five days

The Dunkirk-Fredonia high school hockey team had three games in five days, winning all three by a combined 28-1 margin.

On Nov. 14, the Steelers beat Wilson, 10-0, getting a hat trick from Kevin Ganey, as well as a pair of goals and assists from Matt Sheridan. Also for Dunkirk-Fredonia, Jacob Majka had a goal to go with a pair of assists, Dylan Munson added a pair of goals and Dean Campese had a goal and an assist.

Alex Michalak chipped in a goal and four assists in the win while Matt Szalkowski had an assist to help winning goalie Carson Rafan.

In a game played on Nov. 17, the Steelers beat Pioneer/Springville, 10-1, getting four goals from Munson.

Michalak (assist), Ganey (assist), Szalkowski, Connor Graves (two assists), Jeffery Mulkin (assist) and Brett St. George all had a goal each. Andy Ellis, Sheridan and Campese contributed two assists each while Kyle Leysath and Majka each added one assist. Rafan was the winning goalie.

Jared Hebner picked up the win in the Steelers 8-0 win Sunday vs. the St. Joe's 'B' team. Munson had his second hat trick in as many games, adding an assist while Sheridan chipped in a pair of goals and two assists.

Campese, Graves and Michalak (three assists) each scored a goal apiece while Ellis, Leysath and Szalkowski each added a helper.
