The Silver Creek Assembly of God can provide a Thanksgiving dinner for residents of the Silver Creek area who are unable to prepare their own.

Free self-defense class offered for females 12 and older
The Family Martial Arts Center at 355 Central Ave. in Fredonia will host a free self-defense class for females aged 12 and older on Nov. 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The class will be instructed by Albert Ramirez. Interested persons can register by calling 672-6683 or going to karateman1965@hotmail.com.
This class is cosponsored by Family Martial Arts Center and Buster Brown Bean Company.
Christmas Memorial Tree Dec. 2 in Cherry Creek Memorial Park
The Cherry Creek Community Association Inc. will sponsor its annual Christmas Memorial Tree on Dec. 2 at 4:30 p.m. at the gazebo in the Cherry Creek Memorial Park with refreshments following for participants at The Trillium Lodge Restaurant.
Memorial bows may be purchased for $3 each for veterans (red, white & blue), general (red) and $4 for those who had cancer (pink).

Immaculata Academy to hold Christmas Concert on Dec. 13
Immaculata Academy invites everyone to come hear the sounds of the season at their Christmas Concert on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in their school auditorium. This free concert will include traditional as well as modern carols encompassing many styles from 16th century chant to African-American Spirituals. Spaghetti dinner Dec. 8
The American Legion Hanover Memorial Post 148 will sponsor a spaghetti dinner at the Silver Creek VFW at 13 N. Main St. on Dec. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $8 pre-sale and $8.50 at the door. All dinners are served with salad, bread and butter.
North Collins board to meet on Nov. 27

South Dayton Holiday Craft Show and Turkey and Biscuit Lunch Dec. 1
The South Dayton Fire Belles will host a Holiday Craft Show and Turkey and Biscuit Lunch on Dec. 1 at the South Dayton Firemen's Activity Hall at 34 Maple St.
The craft show runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attendees can bring their cameras for a picture with Santa Claus, who will be on site between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a cost of $6 for adults and $4 for children.
