Soderquist retired from his pastoral work after 30 years. His last church was Gloria Dei Lutheran in Lakewood, where he served for 12 years before retiring. In addition to his dedication as a pastor serving his church members, Soderquist has a commitment to working with incarcerated individuals and individuals suffering from alcoholism. While at Gloria Dei, he helped organize AA meetings at the church which continue today.
