Sharon Ann Renfroe, 51 years old, of Portland, New York, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Select Living Hospital of Erie, Pa., after battling an extended illness for many years.
She was born on October 30, 1961 in Smithtown, Long Island and grew up in Pomona Park, Florida.
Sharon had many hobbies. She liked to read books, her favorite author being Stephen King and enjoyed watching horror movies such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, The Walking Dead and Texas Chain Saw Massacre. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. To Sharon, people were what really mattered in life. Sharon was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also a friend to everyone she knew. Sharon will be remembered for her acts of kindness and generosity.

Sharon is survived by her children, Ellis Renfroe of Portland, New York, James Seavy III of Portland, New York and Jessica (Joseph) Houshel of Portland, New York. Also she is survived by her beloved grandson, Evann Houshel; and her siblings, Karen (Irving) Pemberton of Labelle, Florida, John (Melinda) Prianti of Gatlinburg, TN., Terry Tennant, Shawn Tennant and Darren Tennant, all of Pomona Park, Florida. Sharon is also survived by her stepfather Pete Tennant of Pomona Park Florida; her niece Tracy; and nephews, Mark, Steven, Dillon, Devon and Terry. Also, she is survived by her lifelong friend, father of her children and companion James Seavy II.
Sharon was preceded in death by both her parents, Frank Mcloughlin of Smithtown, Long Island and Gertrude Willis of Pomona Park,Florida; and her sister Marion Tennant of Pomona Park, Florida.
Sharon will always be remembered as a loving, caring and strong woman. She was truly extraordinary.
Funeral services will be held at a later time and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the care of James Seavy III at 4603 Railroad Ave., Stock-ton, NY 14784. Funeral arrangements were conducted by the Morse Funeral Home of Brocton, New York.
