The OBSERVER

JAMESTOWN - At the conclusion recent of the Bemus Bay Pops concert on the DFT Communications Floating Stage in Bemus Bay, WCA Hospital and Shults Auto Group drew the Car on the Barge raffle winner for a 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible or $30,000 in cash.

Country music star Pam Tillis drew the winning ticket and handed it Tim Shults, Owner & President of Shults Auto Group, along with his wife, Betsy Shults, Mike Ferguson, raffle coordinator, and Betsy Wright, President and CEO of WCA Hospital, who announced that Jamestown resident Neil Boardman was this year's raffle winner. After careful consideration, Mr. Boardman decided to become the proud owner of the new Ford Mustang Convertible.

"Thanks to the efforts of so many individuals and local businesses, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that we sold over $80,000 worth of $10 raffle tickets," Tim Shults said. "This was a team effort which supports the most important capital project in our community, the construction of our new Emergency Department at WCA Hospital."

Mr. Boardman was the lucky winner of the Car on the Barge Raffle which was drawn by Pam Tillis on the DFT Communications Floating Stage in Bemus Bay recently. The proceeds from this raffle once again benefited WCA’s Sharing the Gift of Health: The Capital Campaign for Our Emergency Department.

"We are very grateful to Tim and Betsy Shults, Mike Ferguson, and the entire Shults Auto Group for their outstanding commitment to this raffle and to our vital capital campaign effort," Karl Sisson, WCA Director of Development, said. "Although officially there was only one raffle winner, the whole community wins as we open the new front door of health care here at WCA."

Shults Auto Group is in the midst of its $250,000 multi-year pledge to WCA Hospital for Sharing the Gift of Health: The Capital Campaign for Our Emergency Department. In an effort to raise additional funds to support the campaign, Shults Auto Group created the Car on the Barge raffle and promoted the sale of tickets through its media outlets and at all of its dealerships.
