Lion Jim Sedor, a member of the Evans Township Lions Club, Inc., was honored with a "Melvin Jones Fellowship," the highest honor a Lions Club member can earn. This was in recognition of his 17 years of dedicated service, not only to the Lions Club, but to the Evans/Brant community through Lions Club projects.
The award is named for Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Clubs International. His vision and dedication started what has become the largest service organization in the world. The Evans Township Lions Club, Inc., is part of that organization.
Sedor is currently the secretary of the Evans Township Lions Club. The club meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month. A list of meeting places and upcoming events can be found in the calendar section of the club's website, evanslions.org.
