Walk 4 Paws cause yields great turnout

More than 370 people and 36 teams from county organizations gathered in a strong show of support for the Chautauqua County Humane Society's 8th annual Walk 4 Paws event on Oct. 20 at Chautauqua Institution's Market Gate Area.

The total event campaign closed at the end of October with over $31,000 raised to help cover the soaring costs of caring for the area's unwanted pet population.

The Chautauqua County Humane Society is a non-profit that is not part of any government organization and its mission to care for homeless pets relies completely on public support.
