Twenty years ago - 1992
Ripley Central School senior Jennifer Zeigler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Zeigler, has been selected for membership in the 1992 New York State School Music Association Conference All-State Women's Chorus. A vocal student of Kathleen Bohlen, Celeste Emmons and David Evans, Jennifer has been selected for All-County chorus three times and for Area All-State Chorus three times. She received a perfect score of 100 on her last NYSSMA solo.
Thirty years ago - 1982
Ms. Rebecca Ann Luce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Luce of Sheridan, has been admitted to the Ohio Bar. A 1968 graduate of Fredonia High School, Ms. Luce earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Kent State University in Ohio. In 1982, she received her juris doctorate degree from the University of Akron School of Law in Akron, Ohio.

Fifty years ago - 1962
Formation of a new Knights of Columbus Council in Silver Creek has been announced by Stephen J. Sekula, KC district deputy of the 94th district. The new council will honor the name and memory of the former pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Edmund J. O'Connor. John Creedon has been elected grand knight.
