Edward John Pacos

Edward John Pacos, of Fredonia, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Brooks Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Fredonia, NY, he was the son of

the late Peter and Mary (Burlett) Pacos. A lifelong area resident, he was retired from Al-Tech Specialty Steel as a side loader operator. He served in the U.S. Navy

aboard the U.S.S. Santa Fe CL60 in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945. He was also retired from the family grape and beef cattle farm. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fredonia and a lifetime member of the Post 59 American Legion. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Francis Grace, Agnes Pacos, Dorothy Abeel and Cecelia Perry. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Truth "Trudy" Pacos, son Peter E. (Roberta) Pacos, daughter Janet (Dennis)

morning at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph Church in Fredonia (please use side entrance). Military honors will be accorded by the Dunkirk Joint Veterans Council.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 59. Fredonia, NY or the Lakeshore

Humane Society, Dunkirk, NY. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
