Jamestown police officer charged with official misconduct

District Attorney David W. Foley has announced that Eric Corey of Jamestown, New York has been charged with one count of official misconduct in the City of Jamestown.

Corey resigned from the City of Jamestown Police Department after an internal investigation revealed multiple cases of missing prescription painkillers from the Police Department's evidence room. Both Jamestown City Court Judges have recused themselves form the case, and an application for removal to another court will be forthcoming. Official misconduct is a class A misdemeanor.
