Man wanted in Puerto Rico arrested in Jamestown

Luis Marquez-Burgos, 28, of Jamestown has been charged following a search warrant in the city. Investigators from the Jamestown Police Depart-ment along with agents from the Department of Home-land Security executed a search warrant at 1088 N. Main St., Jamestown following an investigation which revealed narcotics were being sold from this location.

Police located Marquez-Burgos inside the residences with a quantity of cocaine and heroin that was packaged for sale.

He was arraigned in Jamestown City Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. Marquez-Burgos was also found to have an outstanding federal indictment warrant from Puerto Rico for the trafficking and possession of a large quantity of heroin and cocaine. He will be arraigned on the federal warrant at a later date in federal court.

Investigators were assisted in this investigation by agents of the U.S. Marshals Office in Buffalo. Anyone who has information on the illegal sales of narcotics can leave an anonymous tip on the department's tip line at 483-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.

Dunkirk Police Department

Claribel Padilla, 28, of Ruggles Street was charged with second-degree harassment on Nov. 27.

Luis Ortega, 30, of Ruggles Street was charged with second-degree harassment on Nov. 27.

Jocelyn E. Cora, 29, of Lincoln Avenue was charged with petit larceny and second-degree criminal impersonation on Nov. 28 on a bench warrant.

Jaime L. Fuller, 26, of Brigham Road was charged with failure to keep right and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Nov. 28.

An 18-year-old male of Ruggles Street was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment on Nov. 29.

Jessica J. Chalen, 34, of Woodrow Avenue was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Nov. 29.

Fredonia Troopers charge Dunkirk man for possession

On Thursday at approximately 12:40 a.m. Fredonia troopers charged Tyler Roesler, 21, of Robin Street in Dunkirk for unlawful possession of marijuana, following a traffic stop on State Route 60 in the Town of Dunkirk for a signal violation.

Roesler, unlicensed, was found to be in possession of a few small marijuana joints and a marijuana smoking pipe. Charges are to be answered in the Town of Dunkirk Court on Dec. 3.
