Jean Joan Galofaro, 82, of Dunkirk died Thursday (Nov. 29, 2012) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk following an extended illness. She was born Jan. 11,
1930, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Chase Wright. A lifelong resident of Dunkirk and Fredonia, Jean was educated in Dunkirk. She was predeceased by
her husband, Anthony M. Galofaro, who died Aug. 17, 2001; her two brothers, Alfred and Harold Wright; and her sister, Alice Birtchnall. Surviving are her three

daughters, Linda (Fred) Johnson of Missouri, Diane (Jean-Pierre) LeDoux of Silver Creek, NY and Mary (Fred) Eggleston of Dunkirk, NY; her two stepsons,
Louis of Rochester, NY and David of Brocton, NY; six grandchildren, Robert, Jason, William, Jennifer, Amy and Adrian; one step grandson, Anthony; and
seven great-grandchildren. Jean will always be remembered for her compassionate and caring heart, especially by her daughters. Jean has graciously
donated her organs. There will be no prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Jean's name to the American
Cancer Society or the Humane Society. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
