Beaunah Jean Maring died November 30, 2012 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, Pa. following an extended illness. Beaunah was born on April 24, 1929 to the late
Roscoe and Mary (Besterfeldt) Finland. "Jean" lived in Ripley, NY most of her life and resided at the Collins Manor Senior Apartments. Besides being a
member of the Ripley Baptist Church, she also volunteered at the Ripley Food Pantry and the Ripley Fire Department. Beaunah was a retired seamstress who enjoyed sewing for others as well as reading and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. "Jean" is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Lawrence) Erickson of
North East, Pa. and two sons, Larry (Donna) Brown of North East and Wade Brown of Findley Lake, NY. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jeanette,
Daniel, Christopher, Matthew, Stephanie and Zachariah; one great grandson, Zachariah; and one step-brother, Herman Graham. Besides her parents and
husband, Charles Maring, Beaunah was predeceased by sisters, Onolee Brown, Janet Drake, Maxine Seeking, and step-sisters Sylvia and Angeline Chamberlin
and Catherine Spinks. Jean's funeral service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Ripley, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the 6 p.m. funeral service with the Pastor Donald Eggleston officiating. Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Her interment will be private. Donations in Jean's memory to the Ripley Fire Department and/or the Ripley Food Pantry would be greatly appreciated by the family.
