Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon

Members of the Brocton Preceptor Beta Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the home of Roberta Valentine with Valerie Lis serving as co-hostess.

The group voted to make a monetary donation to the Brocton/Portland Food Bank which is very much in need of contributions of money and food items for the upcoming holidays.

The Social Committee discussed the chapter's Christmas party which will be hosted by Marie Zambotti on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Members are to bring a dish to pass, a gift for their Secret Sister and an ornament for exchange. Marie will supply pizza and dessert.

The group will vote for their Valentine queen at their Christmas event as they will not be meeting in January. The Valentine dinner will be held on Saturday evening, Feb. .

The "on-time gift" was won by Janice Hipwell.

John T. Murray Ladies Auxiliary Post 1017

The John T. Murray Ladies Auxiliary Post 1017 recently met with Rhonda Daminski presiding. The meeting was called to order in short form. Reading of department correspondence was done. A motion was made and carried on sending per capita for a lady in District 1. It is called adopt a sister, as many ladies were hit with Hurricane Sandy. Service officers raffle tickets were also purchased by the auxiliary.

A life membership drawing will be held in January but dues must be paid by Dec. 7; make checks payable to the John T. Murray Post 1017 Ladies Auxiliary. Dues are $20. Mail to Pat Kibbe, Park Avenue, Dunkirk, N.Y. 14048. Any lady that has a husband, father or mother that served in an overseas war is eligible to join. Any lady that is in good standing with current dues paid and has cancer can apply for a cancer grant.

Ladies who volunteer in the community are asked to let Pat Glowniak know so that she can report to the department chairmen. She needs to know hours and if any money was involved. Contact her at 341-1328.

The December meeting is canceled. The January meeting will be held on Jan. 21 at the Kettle and Keg at 6 p.m., Dutch treat. Call Glowniak or Daminski if attending by Jan. 17. A short meeting will be held with the spring conference to be discussed. Spring conference will be held at the Albany Marriott March 15-17. Items that are needed for the different programs will be discussed.
