Michalak nets goal as Steelers fall to Iroquois

Iroquois defeated the Dunkirk/Fredonia Steelers, 8-1, in a Western New York High School Club Hockey League game over the weekend.

Scoring the Steelers' lone goal was Alex Michalak, assisted by Matt Sheridan.

Tom Judasz led Iroquois with four goals. Steve Kaufmann, Blake Germony, Dallas Myers and Mark Morganti each had a goal for the winners. Assists were tallied by Kaufmann, Germony, Joe Giambra, Dan Stenzel (two) and A.J. Takac (two).

Carson Rafan and Jared Hebner split time in net for the Steelers.

Dunkirk/Fredonia returns to action Saturday when it hosts Eden/Lake Shore at 2:30 p.m. at Steele Hall.
