Fredonia State Kids' Night Out

The Fredonia State baseball team will be hosting a Kids' Night Out on Saturday, Dec. 8. The team members will be directing supervised activities from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The Steele Hall Fieldhouse and swimming pools will be utilized. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

NCCS Basketball Tournament

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will be holding its 11th annual "Peg" Smith basketball tournament Dec. 6-9 at its refurbished gym on Washington Avenue in Dunkirk.

A total of 22 Parochial and public school teams (grades 4 thru 8) from Dunkirk, Fredonia, Jamestown, Gowanda, Lakeview, Hamburg, Orchard Park and Buffalo will be competing in four divisions, including both male and female athletes.

Chances for the Buffalo Sabres memorabilia and gift baskets will be sold. Foul shooting prizes and 50/50 raffles will also take place. Entrance to the games is free of charge.

The Northern Chautauqua Soccer Association will hold its annual meeting Monday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at St. Paul Luthern Church in Fredonia.

DHS Baseball to Host Comedy Night

The Dunkirk High School baseball team will be holding a Comedy Night on Saturday, Jan. 19. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the show starting at 7.

Featured comedians will include Nick Siracuse, Ralph Tetta and Ray Silva. Tickets for the event, which will include a Chinese Auction, will be available at Matt's News, DHS, from any parent of a player, or from head coach Frank Jagoda.
