Two injured in rollover accident
HANOVER - Two people were injured following an accident on Wednesday in the town of Hanover.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies responded to Allegany Road just after 3 p.m. for a rollover accident.
The driver of the vehicle Maryjane Tundo, 48, of Silver Creek allegedly swerved from her lane and crossed the opposite lane of traffic and drove onto the shoulder.
She then pulled the car back across the road, striking a guard rail causing the car to flip and roll onto its roof.
Tundo had to be extricated from the vehicle and was flown to Erie County Medical Center by Starflight.
A male passenger in the vehicle was transported to Lake Shore Hospital with minor injuries. Tundo's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Charges are pending.
Deputies were assisted by Silver Creek Fire Department, Hanover Center Fire Department, Forestville Fire Department, Alstar and Starflight.
Ellicottville woman charged with
aggravated DWI
GREAT VALLEY - On Saturday at about 9 p.m., a trooper from the Jamestown barracks charged Jamie J. Obenauer, 26, of Ellicottville, with aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Obenauer had been stopped on Brewer Cross Road by an Ellicottville Police Department officer. Reportedly, Obenauer was observed driving all over the roadway and through a yard.
During processing, Obenauer was found to have a blood alcohol content reported at .25 percent, leading to the charge of aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher.
Obenauer is to face the charges before the Town of Great Valley Court at a later date.
