Ingracia Serrano, 86, of Dunkirk died Wednesday morning (Dec. 5, 2012) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
She was born Nov. 6, 1926 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Carmelo and Cecilia Hernandez.
A homemaker, Mrs. Serrano was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
Survivors include three sons, Victor (Dolores) Rivera Jr. of Fredonia, Hector (Minerva) Rivera of Bradenton, Fla., and Julio (Idalia) Rivera of Attleboro, Mass.; one brother, Teodoro Hernandez of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Tomassa Irizarry of New Jersey and Leonor Hernandez of Puerto Rico; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Rivera Sr.; and one daughter, Matilda Hubbert.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Friday after-noon at 2 o'clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held today from 4-6 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
