Esther Belle Reynolds, age 87, passed away Thursday morning (Dec. 6, 2012) at TLC/Lake Shore Nursing Home in Irving, NY, surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 10, 1924 in Irving, NY, the daughter of the late Herbert and Lucy (Merrills) Hilliker.
Esther's lengthy stay on the Amber Unit made her one of the longest residents at the facility. She was loved and cared for by a wonderful staff. Esther referred to them affectionately as "Jack Rabbits."

Her hard work and family devotion will be remembered by all. Esther's real enjoyment was working the "Grape Farm," most of her life. She liked to travel in her later years and was well known for her homemade macaroni and cheese, baked beans and zucchini bread.
Esther was a past member of the Grower's Cooperative of Westfield.
Surviving are a son, Larry E. (Lori Smith) Reynolds of Irving; a daughter, Roxanne (Dan) Stallman of Climax, N.C.; a grandson, Matthew (Michele) Reynolds; a granddaughter, Tonya Russo; a great grandson, Noah Reynolds; one brother, Milton Hilliker of Irving; sister Gloria Hilliker of Irving; sister-in-law Kathryn Hilliker of Irving; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward B. Reynolds; brothers Raymond and Arnold Hilliker; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Reynolds.
Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, NY on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. Rev. Michael Leamon, pas-tor, of Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church, will officiate. Burial will be made in Smith Mill's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
