MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Priscilla Vander Weel, 73, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Agape Hospice in Conway, of complications from pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Brocton, N.Y., a daughter of the late James and Laura Denison.
Mrs. Vander Weel taught at Brocton Central School before retiring to Myrtle Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Vander Weel.

Survivors include a daughter, Krina Palisin, and husband Steve of Myrtle Beach; a son, Jon Vander Weel and wife Tami of Alaska; two grand-daughters, Mia Vander Weel of Alaska and Vanessa Palisin of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Paul Denison and wife Monica Thelestam of Sweden; a niece, Naomi Denison Tilley and husband Matthew of Georgia; a nephew, Ari Denison and wife Elizabeth of Tennessee; and a brother-in-law, the Rev. Richard Vander Weel of Vermont.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City Beach. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
