Seniors meet in many places

December 10, 2012
The OBSERVER

By JEANINE SMITH

The November Senior Scene included an article on the accomplishments of the Grape Belt Seniors at their new location in the Masonic Temple in Fredonia.

While we wish to congratulate the volunteers who are running the activities, we also should keep in mind the many other "original" Grape Belt Seniors who have moved on and relocated following the closing of the Senior Center at St. Anthony's last December. So where are all the "other" Grape Belt seniors?

Here's a list with the new locations and contact information.

Zumba Gold, Infinity Dance Academy, 183 E. Main St., Fredonia, Jean Sutton, 366-8579.

MahJong, Dunkirk Senior Center, 366-7530.

Village Elders Yoga, Dunkirk Fredonia Yoga Center, 809 Central Ave., Dunkirk, Carolyn Grady, 672-6697.

Pinochle: Tuesday's Best, Birdie's Bidders, Birdie's Flock, Fredonia Beaver Club, Birdie, 679-1409.

Thursday Painters, St. John the Baptist Church, 16 W. Fourth St., Dunkirk, Audrey Schafer, 366-0310.

Card Stamping, St. John the Baptist Church, 16 W. Fourth St., Dunkirk, Jeanine Smith, 672-2235.

Knitting/Crocheting Workshop, St. John's Church, 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk, 366-1465.

Monday-Friday, Senior Nutrition Lunch Site, Concord Estates, 441 Temple, Fredonia, Ruth Bolles, 410-9275.

Monthly Birthday Luncheons, Concord Estates, Ruth Bolles, 410-9275.

Friendly 36er's Lunch and Cards, Concord Estates, Ruth Bolles, 410-9275.

Generations-On-Line Computer Classes, Dunkirk Library, Nancy Jager, 224-0998.

Share & Care Monthly Board Meetings, Private location, Phyllis Laurito, 679-1060.

In addition, we remember all the others: the veterans we honored every November, the hall walkers and exercise equipment users, the many seniors who traveled on our bus trips, the DVD fitness group, the Lucky Lane bowlers, the Movie Matinee fans, the quilters, the Enchante' Musicals, the dedicated "original" board members and all of those who read the "Full Circle" newsletters.
