Portland Planning Board meets Tuesday
The Town of Portland Planning Board will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Portland Town Hall.
The meeting includes the Site Plan Review and Special Use Permit Hearing for Speelberg Enterprises to construct four rustic cabins on Woleben Road.

The Brad Anderson Rec-ognition Committee will have its monthly meeting today at 6 p.m. at the Port-land Town Hall, 87 W. Main St., Brocton.
There will also be the fundraising drawing for a $100 Citco Gas Card. Tickets are still available, 1 for $20 or 3 for $5, by calling Al at 792-9776.
South Dayton
businesses to hold Christmas Open House
South Dayton businesses will have a Christmas Open House day on Saturday throughout the community from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participating businesses will be selling Christmas ornaments for $1 each to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which is being coordinated by the South Dayton Library.
In addition, certain businesses will run specials and offer seasonal family activities.
Capozzi's Too will give $3 for every party pack sold to the Wounded Warrior Project. Charlie and Debbie's Country Store is sponsoring a kids' coloring contest for children ages 3 to 9. Dressed To Impress (dtidoggiespa.com) will offer free doggie toenail trims.
Ornaments will be available at Rough Kutts Tavern, Valley Hardware, Zollin-ger's South Dayton Hotel and Inspired Souls. There will be a book sale at South Dayton Library. South Dayton Supermarket will host Santa as he visits with children from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Linda and Doug Fairbanks will offer complimentary horse and wagon rides from the Depot from noon to 2 p.m.
Trinity Episcopal Church cookie sale set
Trinity Episcopal Church Women announce the Christmas Cookie Plate Sale will be held Friday beginning at 9 a.m. in Garland Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St., Fredonia.
Please use rear entrance. Choose from many "one-of-a-kind" plates filled with an assortment of cookie treats for the holidays.
The cost is $6 per plate. There will be a limited number of sweet bread loaves and fruit tarts available.
For the first time, shoppers may preorder plates by calling the church office only on Thursday from 10 to noon at 679-7901. All preordered plates must be picked up by 11 a.m. on Dec. 14. If they are not they will be released for general sale.
