Carolyn L. "Cookie" Alfonso-Matrone passed away December 9th, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY. "Cookie" as she was known was born March 7th, 1928 in Silver Creek, NY; she was the daughter of Robert N. and Ethel (Cogswell) Erdle. She was the wife of the late Joseph Alfonso who passed away February 20, 1985 and the late Frank Matrone who passed away October 18th, 1999.
"Cookie" enjoyed knitting, watching and following college football and basketball; she also loved her cats and cherished time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons Michael (Wanda) Alfonso and Todd (Jean) Alfonso both of Lockport; grandmother of Bradley, Michelle and Brandon Alfonso; sister of Warren Erdle of Silver Creek, Dean Erdle of Fredonia, Evelyn Eisenhard of Virginia and the late Marge Parsons and Judy Erdle.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM.
