Porterfield, Goodhue take first in swim loss for Billies

Josh Goodhue and Reed Porterfield were the only two Fredonia Hillbilly swimmers to take first place Thursday in a 101-82 defeat to Southwestern in CCAA Division 1 boys high school swimming.

Goodhue won the diving competition with a score of 105.58. Meanwhile, Porterfield was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.09.

Also, the 200 medley relay team, which consisted of, Jacob Brown, Porterfield, Trystan Meyer and Matt Zevenbergen, touched the wall first with a time of 1:57.75.

Recording second-place finishes for the Hillbillies were Walter Foley (diving), Porterfield (100 butterfly) and Brown (100 freestyle and 100 backstroke).
