George and Patricia Petrella of Brocton announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh, to Joel Leroy, son of Neil and Jann Leroy of Erie, Pa. Petrella is also the granddaughter of Marlene Petrella of Fredonia and Jane Nagel of Panama.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Fredonia High School. She graduated from Northeastern University in Boston in 2008 with a BS in international business-finance, and in 2012 earned an MBA in finance from Suffolk University. She is employed in Boston by Liberty Mutual Asset Management, Inc., as a senior global portfolio analyst.
Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of McDowell High School in Erie, and a 2008 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in sports management, and a minor in criminal justice intelligence studies. After five years of working in professional baseball, Leroy has moved on to the corporate world and is employed by Staples Corporate Offices in the metro Boston area.
