BROCTON - The Brocton Teachers' Association announces the Students of the Month for October.
The middle school Student of the Month is seventh-grader Jessica Link, daughter of Steve and Elizabeth Link of Brocton. Jessica is a member of the band and chorus, All-County Band participant and is an honor roll student. She enjoys playing soccer, reading, playing with her ferret and competing in bible quizzing. Outside of school, Jessica is involved in the Youth Corp and the Leadership program. Jessica attended Camp Comet at Fredonia State, a math/science camp for middle school students. Her future plans include being either a chemist or a pilot.
The high school Student of the Month is sophomore Kenya Stanton, daughter of Scott and Lisa Stanton of Portland. Kenya is on the varsity soccer and basketball teams. She is a member of the Junior Honor Society, Sources of Strength, vice president for the sophomore class and on the honor roll. Her favorite subject is French. Outside of school, Kenya plays travel soccer for Northwest Chautauqua, attends First Baptist Church in Westfield and is involved in their youth group.
