RIPLEY - The Westfield Lady Wolverines held off the Ripley Lady Eagles, 32-26, Friday in non-league girls high school basketball action.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to a 9-6 lead after the first quarter, but Westfield used a 10-1 second-quarter run to hold a 16-10 halftime edge.
The visitors added to their lead in the third quarter as they outscored Ripley, 12-7, for a 28-17 lead. However, the Lady Eagles did not go away quietly as they outscored Westfield, 9-4. However, it was too little, too late.

Nina Manzella led the Lady Wolverines with 14 points and seven steals. Miranda Warner pulled down six rebounds for the winners.
Lacey Landon was the offensive leader for Ripley with 12 points.
