DHS comes up short against Frewsburg at Jamestown tourney

JAMESTOWN - Despite an incredible performance from Lacey Clark, the Dunkirk Lady Maraduers (2-2, 1-0) fell to Frewsburg, 63-48, in the consolation game of the United Way Tip-off Tournament at Jamestown High School.

Clark poured in a game-high 24 points while also grabbing 17 rebounds, dishing out four assists and adding two steals and a block.

"She was incredible," Dunkirk assistant coach John Bogardus said of Clark. "She's been playing lights out."

Khee Nance was the only other Lady Marauder in double-digit scoring with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Rachel Rosas pulled down seven rebounds in the loss.

Frewsburg's balanced attack was led by Shawna Raymond's 19 points. She got plenty of help from Emliy Hair (14 points), Annie Berg (11) and Reyanne Strang (10).

Dunkirk returns to CCAA Division 1 action when it travels to take on Southwestern on Tuesday.
