Wind advisory, storm warning in effect

It may soon begin to look a lot like Christmas in northern Chautauqua County.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory through 1 a.m. Friday and a winter storm warning from 11 a.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Here is the complete forecast:

Tonight: Rain in the evening with a chance of snow overnight. Little or no accumulation. Very windy with lows in the mid 30s. Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

Friday: Snow and rain. Accumulation up to 2 inches. Near steady temperatures in the mid 30s. South winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Friday night: Snow. Areas of blowing snow overnight. Very windy with lows in the upper 20s. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Saturday: Snow. Areas of blowing snow. Very windy with highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 30 to 40 mph. Chance of snow near
