WESTFIELD - On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School honors one student at each grade level as the Student of the Month. Teachers and staff had the opportunity to nominate one student who they believed met the following criteria: Follows Westfield's Rules of Respect for staff and peers; shows outstanding effort and improvement or shows achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects; prepared daily to participate in all classes; serves as a positive role model for peers; and demonstrates a positive attitude and good citizenship
Three students were selected as a Student of the Month for September.
The sixth-grade recipient is Jordan Carlson. In school Jordan enjoys his science class, as he likes the subject and plans to use this knowledge in the future. In his spare time he enjoys collecting sports cards. In the future, Jordan hopes to continue to do well in school and become a scientist or a NASCAR driver.

Alec Stanley received this honor for the seventh grade. In school he also enjoys his science class because the labs and activities they do are fun and interesting. As a hobby he enjoys cars and learning about how engines work. One goal he has for the future is to either become an architect or a chef, and have a job that he enjoys.
At the eighth-grade level, Hunter Howes received this honor. In school he enjoys his Language Arts class because his teacher to very kind and helpful. Outside of the classroom Hunter enjoys getting new shoes and using them to play a variety of sports. In the future he hopes to continue to do well in school, get into a good college and be successful.
