PERRYSBURG - Karla H. Rice, age 58 of Redeye Dr. passed away Friday night Dec. 21, 2012 at home surrounded by family.
Karla was born in Buffalo Nov. 3, 1954 into the "Turtle Clan" the daughter of Warren and Hazel (Mohawk) Stafford.
A Licensed Practical Nurse, Karla worked at various nursing homes in Western New York, Gowanda, Lake Shore and Eden to name a few.
Karla married Daniel D. Rice who passed away May 3, 2009.
Survivors include a son Keith W. Rice, daughters Wanda L. Rice, Abigail (Keith) H. Rice-Renaldo, six grandchildren Shawn, Robert, Hailey, Alyia, Alicia and David. Karla is also survived by three brothers, Larry (Cindy) Mohawk, Donald (Val) Stafford and Kevin Stafford, four sisters, Dorothy (Fran White) Stafford, Patricia (Edward) Lambert, Pamela Stafford and Tamara Stafford.
Besides her parents and husband Karla was preceded in death by a Daughter Caroline H. Rice-Pierce (died Sept. 7, 1993) and two brothers Donovan and David Stafford.
Friends may call at the family residence 11020 Redeye Dr. after 3 p.m. on Monday Dec. 24, and all day on the 25th. Karla's funeral will be held from her home on Wed. Dec. 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. burial to follow in the family cemetery.
