Wendy York of Charlotte, N.C., and Nathan Bradley Lewis of Danville, Va., were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, 2012, at Chateau Morrisette Winery in Floyd, Va. Tom Williams of Floyd was the officiant at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Denise York of Cherry Creek. The groom is the son of Mike and Louann Lewis of Danville.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a Mara by Modeca pale ivory taffeta, modified A-line gown, with a soft sweetheart neckline, bustled flower detail on bustline and side hip, and a rouched bodice. She carried a bouquet of white gerber daisies with lavender accents.

Serving as matron of honor was Shannon Jackson of Cassadaga, the bride's best friend. Bridesmaids were Sarah Ehmke of Huntersville, N.C., Amber Gustafson of Clayton, N.C., and Kristina Smith of Kannapolis, N.C., all friends of the bride.
Serving as best man was Mike Lewis of Danville, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Todd Lewis of Roanoke, Va., brother of the groom; Parker Keesee of Richmond, Va., friend of the groom; and Adam York of Cherry Creek, brother of the bride.
A reception was held at Chateau Morrisette in the William Morrisette room.
The bride graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a B.S. in business management and UNC at Charlotte with a graduate certificate in elementary education. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Carlisle School in Martinsville, Va.
The groom graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in communications. He is a key account manager for Danville Utilities.
The couple resides in Danville.
