City Hall closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas
Dunkirk City Hall will be closed Monday and Tuesday in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas. There will be no zero sort recycling pickup Monday and no rubbish pickup on Tuesday. Rubbish collection for the holiday week will be the day following the normal collection day.
Portland calendar available
Town of Portland Historical Museum is offering a Special Pictorial Calendar as a fundraiser to commemorate the Grand Festival that celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Town in Aug. 5-8. This calendar will make a unique gift for Christmas and is a collector's item. The calendar can be picked up at the Portland Town Hall or the Brocton Village Hall for a donation of $10. In addition, historical magnets are available in the Town Hall for a donation of $2.
While at the Village Hall or Town Hall also pick up a Community Calendar to help raise funds for the Bicentennial Committee's work on the celebration events commemorating the 200th year of the Town of Portland planned for next year. Information on all the items call Al Valentin at 467-4382.
