SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek Central Middle School announces the Students of the Month for October. The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.
The sixth-grade recipients are Ryan Marr and Savannah Seeley.
Ryan is the son of Evelia and Jared Marr of Silver Creek. Within school, Ryan participates in the school newspaper, The Grapevine. Outside of school, Ryan likes to play catch, build with Legos and play games. Ryan would one day like to be a zookeeper.
Savannah is the daughter of Melissa Smith and Darren Seeley of Silver Creek. Within school, she participates in The Grapevine and Builders Club and plays the alto saxophone in band. Her favorite activities include listening to her iPod, shopping and spending time with her friends. Her goal is to become a successful real estate agent.
The seventh-grade recipients are Mitchell Dillon and Briget Whipple.
Mitchell is the son of Jim and Jennifer Dillon of Silver Creek. Within school, he is involved in Jazz Band. Outside of school, Mitchell plays on the Lakeshore Eagles Youth Football Team. Mitchell enjoys spending time with friends, reading and listening to music. He hopes to one day be a fifth-grade teacher.
Briget is the daughter of Kim and Scott Whipple of Silver Creek. Within school, she participates in Yearbook Club. Briget enjoys hanging out with her friends. Briget is interested in becoming a veterinarian someday.
The eighth-grade recipients are Nichole Jimerson and William Shevlin.
Nichole is the daughter of Diane Waterman and Rod Jimerson of Irving. Within school, Nichole participates in the basketball, volleyball and softball. Outside of school, Nichole participates on a Volleyball League. She enjoys playing football with her cousins and siblings, volleyball, basketball and beading. Nichole's goal is to go into the culinary field.
William is the son of Lin and Charles Shevlin Jr. of Silver Creek. Outside of school, William participates in boy scouts, karate and occasionally in dance. His favorite activities include video-gaming, reading and spending time with his friends. William's goal is to become a game designer.
