The Steelers lost in a very close battle to the Lions.
Scoring for Fredonia was Zach Korzeniewski, Ethan Brunner, Alex Rush and Austin Rott. Brunner also had an assist.
Alex Rush played solid defense for the Steelers while goalie Jack Swanson suffered the loss in net.
The Steelers' next game will be against Bradford, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Steele Hall.

The Steelers offense was led by Cooper Harris with the hat trick. Lauren Marshall, Austin Rott, Ethan Brunner, Alex Rush and Gabe Schrader all pitched in with a goal each.
Assists were recorded by Brunner (two), Sydney Frost, Joseph Newton and Zach Korzeniewski.
Strong defense was played by Korzeniewski and Brunner while Jack Swanson earned the win between the pipes for the Steelers.

NCCYHA Steelers in the Stands
The NCCYHA Steelers are partnering with the Fredonia State Blue Devils for an afternoon of family fun after the holidays. On Saturday, Jan. 5, FSU plays New England College at 3 p.m. Special admission rates apply for NCCYHA families - buy one adult ticket, get one adult ticket free when accompanied by a youth hockey player in a game jersey. Adult tickets are $5 and students are $2. In addition to the game on the ice, there's a competition for the Steelers too. Whichever division brings out the greatest percentage of its roster to the game wins a special "Skate n Shoot" ice session from the NCCYHA board. Players will need to check in at the NCCHYA table set up near the ticket booth to vote for their division.

Hammerhead Swim Club:
Four Hammerhead Swim Club swimmers attended the STAR Series Meet at Erie Community College Burt Flickenger Center on Sunday, De. 16. HHSC swimmers had seven first place, six second place, one third place and 15 Top 10 finishes at the meet. There were two new silver times and a total of four personal best times achieved (listed below).
