Fredonia Boy Scout Troop 267, sponsored by American Legion Post 59, recently held a Court of Honor. The evening began with the advancement of colors and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Senior Patrol Duke Medema. Chaplain Walt Sedlmayer led the invocation.
Committee Chairman Paul Wallenhorst welcomed the scouts and their families. Scoutmaster Chris Eichmann inducted John Banach, Jordon Cooley and Isaac Hillman into Troop 267 and presented them with the Scout Badge and troop neckerchief. Eichmann then presented the Life Scout rank advancement badge to Duke Medema and Ty Miller, Second Class rank badge to Scott MacKinnon, Tenderfoot rank badge to John Banach, Glen Bennett, Michael Block and Joshua Tuggy.
Merit badges were presented to John Banach, Tim Cerrie, Cody Cunningham, Adam Essek, Andrew Field, Jack Fiorella, Chris Miller, Ty Miller, Brandon Powell, Elijah Robb and Joshua Tuggy. Service stars were presented to Scouts Corey Haertel and Casey Huber for one year, Scott MacKinnon for two years, James Farwell and Jack Fiorella for four years, and Jake Brown and Sean Pecuch for seven years. Service stars were also presented to committee members Vicky Cunningham for five years, Assistant Scoutmaster Troy Clugston for six years, Pete Brown and Trish Pecuch for seven years, Walt Sedlmayer for 10 years, Paul Wallenhorst for 18 years, and Chris Eichmann for 30 years. Brandon Powell was presented the President's Active Lifestyle Award.

A Court of Honor was held for Fredonia Boy Scout Troop 267.
Heather Medema handed out patches and awards to the scouts who participated in the Trail's End popcorn fundraiser.
Troop 267 completed an active fall program that included participation at the County Legion Camporee at Camp Merz, the Challenge Tournament Camporee at Camp Babcock-Hovey on Seneca Lake, and a weekend camp-out at Camp Gross. Troop 267 has several winter camping trips planned, plus an active spring program.
The evening concluded with the retiring of colors. Ice cream sundaes were served with Holly Field, Kathy Rock and Deni Trippi, in charge of refreshments.
Troop 267 meets most Mondays at 7 p.m. at Memorial Post 59, 156 E. Main St. in Fredonia and is open to all boys who are at least 11 years of age or have completed the fifth grade. Information about joining scouting can be found online at beascout.scouting.org.
