Bills reportedly name Marrone new coach

January 6, 2013
The OBSERVER

The Buffalo Bills have not gone far in choosing their new head coach. In fact, they stayed in New York state.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Syracuse University football coach Doug Marrone has accepted the job of Bills head coach. Marrone met with the team in Arizona last week.

Marrone turned a dismal Syracuse football team around in his four years running the Orange. In two of the last four years, he has guided the team to the Pinstripe Bowl, winning both times.

Buffalo has not made the NFL playoffs since 1999.
