Ricky Burgstrom's 191-202-537 led the Fredonia Hillbillies (11-17) to a 3-1 victory over Gowanda (18-10) on Monday in CCAA Division 1 high school bowling.
The Hillbillies' linescore read 818-887-828-2,533 compared to Gowanda's 748-785-901-2,434 at Lucky Lanes.
Nate Wojtkowiak added a 183, Jake Szymczak had a 180 and Travis Langworthy shot a 188 for the winners.
The Panthers were led by Justin Grimm's 195-193-269-657 and Jarrod Krajewski's 180.
In the girls' match, Maitland Langworthy cracked a 213-171-212-596 in leading the Lady Hillbillies (22-6) to a 4-0 sweep of Gowanda (18-10).
Fredonia's linescore read 817-917-805-2,539 compared to Gowanda's 671-776-670-2,117.
Other high rollers for Fredonia (22-6) were Genna Riddle with a 218-175-548 and Marionna Wiltsie with a 170-182. Elizabeth Valvo contributed with a 174 and Taryn Wojtkowiak bowled a 172.
Gowanda (18-10) was led by Malyssa Farley's 177-174-469 and Brittanee Stelley's 177. Danielle Lesefske charted a 170 in defeat.
Jamestown handles Dunkirk
Dunkirk bowling took a licking at the hands of Jamestown, Monday at Lucky Lanes in a CCAA Division 1 clash.
In the boys match, Jamestown defeated Dunkirk, 3-1, behind a linescore of 907-889-848-2,649. The Marauders put up a 757-960-806-2,523.
Alex Kubera rolled a 181-185-212-578 for Dunkirk (15-13) while Peter Kubera was also solid with a 214 game and 526 series. Dale Lombardo added a 201 game.
Jamestown (18-10) was paced by Chris Edens' 201-169-174-554 and Eddie Merwick's 203-182-160-545. Brandon Propher added a 208 game.
The Dunkirk girls fared even worse, falling 4-0 to the Lady Red Raiders.
Jamestown put up a line of 811-751-735-2,297 to Dunkirk's 653-647-700-2,000.
Caitlyn Chase was Dunkirk's top bowler with a 440 series. Danielle Dean was right behind her at 420.
The Lady Red Raiders were led by Morgan Melquist's 244-210-177-631. Andraya Vasquez added a 486 series.
Clymer defeats Chautauqua Lake
CLYMER - The Chautauqua Lake boys and girls bowling teams both lost decisions to Clymer, Monday at Cutting Lanes.
The Lady Thunderbirds earned a victory in the final game, but fell 3-1. Chautauqua Lake's linescore of 485-482-521-1,488 couldn't match Clymer's 539-539-449-1,527.
Heather Sullivan led Chautauqua Lake with a 470 series while Emily Paulus added a 400. Janelle Engels was the high bowler for Clymer with her 475 series.
Both teams now have identical 5-27 records.
Clymer (11-29) swept the boys match, 4-0, with a linescore of 692-695-634-2,040. The Thunderbirds (0-36) put up a 515-451-528-1,494.
David Applebee was the high bowler on the boys side with his 497 series. Also for Clymer, Austin Kramer rolled a 422.
Matt Petrucha's 370 series was tops for Chautauqua Lake while Daniel Harkay was good for 354.
Golubski leads charge for Knights
SILVER CREEK - Lizzy Golubski cracked a 234-622 in leading the Silver Creek Black Knights (27-5) past Randolph (16-12), 4-0, in CCAA Division 2 high school bowling.
Silver Creek's linescore read 670-670-624-1,964 while Randolph bowled a 453-477-430-1,360.
Katie Dittiger charted a 486 series in the win.
For the boys, Tim Manning bowled a 522 series as the Black Knights (27-9) swept Randolph (19-17), 4-0.
Silver Creek bowled a 837-783-763-2,383 compared to Randolph's 773-721-708-2,202.
Elliott Martin contributed in the win with a 512.
The Cardinals were led by Austin Dowiasz's 530.
