Andrew Saye, Charles Medema and Peter Kubera all won individual events Tuesday for Dunkirk, but it wasn't enough as the Southwestern Trojans swam past the Marauders, 97-63, during CCAA Division 1 boys swimming action.
Saye won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:35.08 while also helping the 200 medley relay team place first in a time of 2:06.54. Joining Andrew Saye were Josh Saye, Medema and Billy Bradley.
Meanwhile, Medema won the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:05.40 while Kubera took first in the 1-meter diving event with a final score of 184.58.
For Southwestern, Jordan Powers was a double winner in the 100 freestyle (:48.31) and 100 backstroke (1:05.06) while helping both the 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams to first-place finishes.
Joining Powers on the 200 freestyle relay team were Jake Cotter, Bryant Konnor and Carl Shoup. The quartet touched the wall first in a time of 1:44.45. The same four won the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:55.41.
Cotter also took first in the 50 freestyle in a time of :23.94 while Harry Troche took first in the 200 freestyle (2:05.51), as well as the 100 backstroke (1:03.26). Alex Beckerink was first in the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:46.86.
