Dunkirk Police issue no unnecessary travel

Dunkirk Police are issuing a travel advisory within the city. Police are advising motorists to avoid any unnecessary travel until the weather clears.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, five to nine inches is expected Monday night with another five to nine inches expected Tuesday. Less than an inch of snow is expected Tuesday night. According to Meterologist Jeff Wood, the snow will be pretty wide spread throughout the area with highest amounts being along the Chautauqua Ridge. A lake effect snow warning is in effect until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Colder temperatures will accompany the snow. A wind chill advisory is in effect through 9 a.m. Tuesday.
