Westfield-Ripley-Chautauqua Lake won 11-of-15 matches Wednesday night during non-league wrestling action, as it defeated Portville, 63-17.
Roger Williams (120 pounds), Damian Raynor (126), Nolan Hunt (132), Dom Rammelt (152) and Caleb Lawson (170) all won by pin while Kale Gilbert won by decision. WRCL won the final five matches by way of forfeit.
"They have a few really tough (wrestlers)," WRCL head coach Brad Rowe said of Portville. "They had a few forfeits, but we know the guys they bring are real quality."
Williams pinned Joseph Shoff in 3:53, Raynor won by fall over Daniel Wenke in 1:22, Hunt pinned Steele Rajski in 3:28, Rammelt won in 1:22 over Dominic Puccinelli, and Lawson pinned Alec Moore in 57 seconds.
One of the performances that stuck out to Rowe was Williams' win at 120.
"He gets a big lift for us every time," Rowe said of Williams. "That's 20 wins this year and I would have to say that most of the matches he wins, he gets pins for us. He's such a strong, powerful kid. Every time we send him out there, we're looking for six (points) from him."
Cody Bird (195), Trevor Enterline (220), DJ Hamrick (285), Bryce Rowe (99) and Noah Dorman (106) all won by forfeit.
