The Community Chamber Development Corp will hold an open meeting to discuss the schedule, programming and location of the 2013 Dunkirk Farmers and Artisans Market. The meeting will be held at Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Chamber offices located at 10785 Bennett Road, Dunkirk, on the JCC North Campus.
The CCDC, in conjunction with the Dunkirk Community Chamber, took over administration of the Dunkirk Farmers Market late last spring and opened a 10-week market in downtown Dunkirk. Thanks to the enthusiasm and participation from the farmers, vendors, and patrons the market was a success. As the CCDC prepares for a full season market it plans to enhance programming and marketing. The input of past and future participants is critical to every aspect of this year's market growth.
Todd Tranum, President and CEO of The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce stated, "The Chamber is committed to agri-business, small business throughout the county and developing linkage between the Farmer's and Artisan's Market and the business community. "
The CCDC is looking at market opportunities in other North County communities and is developing a cooperative for marketing and programming with other established markets throughout the county.
