BPO and Fredonia trombones to give recital Wednesday

The SUNY Fredonia School of Music welcomes members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Trombone choir for a joint performance with the SUNY Fredonia Trombone Choir, directed by Carl Mazzio, on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall.

The recital is free and open to the public.

Jonathan Lombardo, Timothy Smith and Jeffrey Dee will perform Tommy Pederson's "Cogent Ca-price," the "Fantasia" by Fritz Velke, and Nick Woud's "Serenade for Bass Trombone" accompanied by members of the choir.

The ensemble will also perform works by Nicola Ferro, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Edvard Grieg, Maurice Ravel and John Williams.
