Five juveniles, four males and one female, ages 12 to 14 have been charged in connection with a burglary that occurred in late January.
Dunkirk Police responded to a report of a burglary that already happened earlier in the afternoon at 717 Central Ave. Upon arrival on the scene, patrol spoke with the resident of the apartment where the burglary had occurred as well as building employees.
According to police, it is alleged the apartment had been entered in the early afternoon hours and items were taken and later in the afternoon a plan was arranged by three of the males and the female to take more items and make it appear it occurred in the original burglary.
The four juvenile males and one juvenile female, who names weren't made public because of their ages, were charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, fourth-degree conspiracy and second-degree criminal trespass.
They were issued appearance tickets for Chautauqua County Family Court for a total of 19 charges and have been released.
