The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department and other agencies are investigating numerous daytime burglaries occurring throughout the county, primarily in the north end.
The public is asked to be observant for any suspicious vehicles or subjects in their neighborhood, especially if the subjects knock on your door and ask for a specific person or if they are delivering a package for a specific person. Residents who are suspicious of vehicles or people in the neighborhood are asked to call the Sheriff's Department or their local police department.
