Restaurant damaged in Hanover

HANOVER - A town restaurant was damaged this morning after a motorist accidently drove through the front of the building.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies report Tom's Family Restaurant at 935 Routes 5 and 20 was damaged after an elderly male driver lost control of his vehicle while entering a parking space. The vehicle hit the front of the restaurant causing damage to both the vehicle and the building. No one was injured in the accident.

The driver, from Perrysburg, and the female passenger, from Versailles, were also not injured but transported to Lake Shore Hospital.

Silver Creek and Sunset Bay fire assisted at the scene.
